Whats new for '72: '72 Ninety-Eight's were facelifted '71s. Most of the changes took place at the front of the car where there was a new header panel. Beefier bumpers were used front and rear to comply with new government regulations. Louvers for the flow-thru ventilation were moved to the door jambs. Biggest News: 1972 was Oldsmobile's 75th anniversary. To commemorate, Olds teamed up with Tiffany's to create a limited edition sedan called Regency. The Regency was available only as a hardtop sedan. It featured exclusive gold paint and a special Tiffany clock in the dash. 2650 Regency's were available. |
