1999 Intrigue | ||
| Whats new for '99: A new 3.5 Liter V6, which was exclusive to Oldsmobile for '99, became available. As an Oldsmobile, Intrigue was now identified as such with an emblem on the rear edge of the trunk-lid. Base models were now called "GX" and GL and GLS models identified as such by badges located on the rear of the front fenders.  |

| Biggest News: The much anticipated 3.5 Liter "Short Star" engine finally arrived. The all-aluminum powerplant, based on Cadillac's Northstar V8, was initially standard on top-line GLS models and available on the GX and GL due to limited supply. Throughout the model year, the engine was phased in on all Intrigues. | ||
