| Whats new for 2001: The prevoiusly optional air-filtration system became standard on all models. GX models featured a more refined seat fabric. There were two new exterior colors: Ivory, and Sterling, replacing Bright White and Silver Mist.

| Biggest News: GM was really pushing Onstar. As was the case with other models, it was made standard on the top of the line GLS. With a variety of new features, OnStar was available as with a three-button “command center” affixed to the rearview mirror. | ||

| Identifying a 2001: 2001 Intrugues are visually identical to 2000 models, except models equipped with the Precision Control System had a badge declaring it under the trunk-mounted Oldsmobile badge on the 2001. | ||
