Whats new for 1981:For the first time ever, the Toronado had a V6 among the engine choices, the 4.1L 252 Buick V6. It was not very popular among Toronado buyers. The 307 moved to optional status, and the previously optional 350 gas V8 was dropped. There was a new aluminum sport wheel option available, which ended up bieng 1981 exclusive. Inside, seats had a new ribbed stiching pattern replacing the square biskit pattern. The full vinyl roof option was dropped, Landau vinyl roof was still offered. |
